This website is owned and operated by The Alliance for Children's Rights (ACR).   We are committed to protecting the privacy of all users of the ACR website including our donors and supporters.   ACR will not sell, rent, trade, share or otherwise disclose any personal information to any third parties for any purposes.

This Privacy Policy applies to the ACR website only. It does not apply to other websites to which we link.   You agree that your use of the ACR website signifies your acceptance of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the ACR website.

How we collect and protect your information

We collect personally identifiable information when you make a donation to the ACR, or request information regarding ACR upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, newsletter sign-ups, or other activities.   If you choose to email us or join our email list to receive updates and information and you provide personally identifiable information about yourself, we will not use the information for any purpose other than to respond to your inquiry.

The security of your personal information is very important to us and we are committed to protecting the information we collect. The ACR uses industry accepted online safeguards and has security measures in place at its physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse, or alteration of information that we have collected from you at our website. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of online information, ACR uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology through Blackbaud (Blackbaud Privacy Statement). This internet encryption protocol scrambles data as it travels from your computer to our server.   While no computer system is completely secure, we believe the measures we have implemented reduce the likelihood of security problems to a level appropriate to the type of data involved.

You can visit the ACR website without telling us who you are and without revealing any personal information.  We may collect certain non-personal information from visitors to our website, such as the name of the Internet service provider and IP addresses of visitors, browser type, the Website that referred the visitor to us, the pages requested and the date and time of those requests. We collect this information on an aggregate basis only, and use this information to generate statistics and measure site activity to improve the usefulness of the site to our visitors.  For example, we track which pages are most popular among visitors as a whole.  This information is used for internal review only and not shared with third parties.  We do not collect any other information without the visitor's knowledge and permission.

You may choose to invite friends to share the ACR website by sending invitation emails via our invite feature.   ACR website stores the email addresses you provide to send reminders of the invitations.   ACR does not sell these email addresses or use them to send any other communication besides invitations and invitation reminders. Recipients of invitations may contact ACR to request removal of their information from our database.

Opting-out

If you prefer to not receive communications from ACR in the future, you can do so by following the instructions in the emails.   In addition, you may send an email to s.picazo@kids-alliance.org.
