Be a voice for Children: Join the Friends of the Alliance

Friends of the Alliance (FOA) is a group of working professionals dedicated to raising awareness and funds to support the Alliance for Children’s Rights. These big-hearted partners are advocates for children and share a passion for spreading the story of the Alliance with others. Through fun events and volunteer opportunities, FOA impacts the lives of L.A. County’s most vulnerable population. As a member you will meet wonderful people, share rewarding experiences and volunteer to help the children and youth we serve.

To join the Friends of the Alliance, an annual minimum donation of $250 to the Alliance for Children’s Rights is required though many give generously beyond that. Donations can include personal or company contributions. We encourage FOA to attend and promote the Alliance’s many fundraising events. Members also commit to helping create and volunteer at Alliance’s youth events.

Friends for Families

FOA FFF

Saturday December 5, 2015
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

The Friends of the Alliance believe that all kids deserve to feel the joy of the season, but recognize that the holidays can be a difficult and expensive time for our clients. That’s why members host a memorable morning with Santa for our wonderful children and their families.

Survival Saturday

Members volunteer at our Survival Saturday life-skills workshops. These workshops are put on for transition-age youth and address a range of topics including job preparedness and money management. This is a meaningful experience where members have the opportunity to interact one-on-one with youth.

Check back for information on FOA recruitment events. For more information on joining, contact Development Assistant Sarah Villarante or 213.368.6010 (ex. 166).
