Change for Children
Change for Children is a fundraising initiative to benefit Alliance for Children’s Rights that can take many forms. Children and teens seeking leadership or service opportunities will meet with Alliance staff to design and implement their own fundraising and community outreach plans. While young people raise critical funds for children in foster care in Los Angeles, they are also educating their peers about the important needs addressed by the work of Alliance for Children’s Rights.
Students who develop their own Change for Children Campaign will:
- Earn community service hours, critical for resume-building and college admissions
- Develop leadership and entrepreneurial skills
- Hone public speaking abilities
- Practice empathy and involvement in community
- Learn about non-profit fundraising
